@onlyinboulder s stalker Max Bowman a fan gone mad, Beer TV, drunks, Republicans fall off cliff in Jann Scott’s Journal

0

John McCain, Lindsey Graham  and Joe Lieberman are crazy out of their minds. They are essential war mongers with no ability for critical thinking. The last thing we need is an expanded war in the middle east and these three access of evil are trying to get Obama to drag us into a war. Obama needs to realize that nothing he ever does will ever appease these jack asses. In fact the radical right wing of the Republican party which is all of it…………all they want is the black man out of the white house.

Santorum , Gingrich, Romney are all mad too. They have virtually all shot themselves so hard in the foot, that the Republican Party is such a loser right now, they will be lucky to keep the senate.

Biggest Jerk of all is their voice Rush Limbaugh who has been getting away with demeaning women for years. That has ended. He’ll be lucky to survive his latest on air fuck-up.  You just can’t get away with calling a well presented young woman who just appeared before congress……… a slut. This wasn’t some drunk rock star bimbo. It was a law student speaking on Womens #1 issue.. birth control. Limbaugh lost every women in America. It is not like Limbaugh is a Christian preacher. He is not. He is a drug addicted Republican crazy person on talk radio.

But president Obama needs to stop trying to show he’s tough.  Nobody cares. The middle East is a mess.  We need to get out of there. We just need to have good intel to make sure we stop any alcaida attacks. But that’s it. Obamas call on Libya and Syria have been wrong and if he gets us into Iran, it will be his demise and ours. He should just shut up about it.

Boulder has been on an alcohol crazed frenzy over the past few months.  It is getting ready to open more super liquor stores, breweries and a new beer TV show.  Downtown Boulder is promoting all alcohol events. Meanwhile, the city is very concerned about alcohol related crimes. It is not just murder and rioting on the university hill areas that concern us all.  It is not just DUIs, but the level of aggression has gone up society wide here.  Not to mention that alcohol is the most addictive drug we have in society. We are in trouble.

Interesting that I started the original Best breweries in Boulder show series back in 1994 which ran on cable. As a once a year show it works. As a TV network ? I dunno. Just how interesting are a bunch of corporate beer heads??  Beer heads in general are stupid. Literally in a stupor.  I’ve interviewed a lot of them. Not very compelling.  It is a little dangerous, walking into bars videoing drunks too.  Beer is about drunks and they are boring. Unless they are young, dancing and stripping. But then we are back into the stupid drunk girl thing which leads us to Girls Gone Wild all really dumb. But maybe.  There are a lot of drunks in Boulder.

22Boom This week I have a three hour series running on BV-22 on Comcast cable. It is all music videos from the 2012 Grammy Awards and trailers from the 2012 Oscars. 9:00 pm every night.

The latest on my  fan gone mad. Max Bowman is a 43 year old Lafayette man who sits home every night and thinks about me. He is obsessed with me to the extreme;  To the point where he has been stalking me. In a letter to the Boulder PD he told them he was a law enforcement officer from Texas.  That makes him all the more dangerous to me and to the cops here in Boulder.

Bowman is a chronic alcoholic who sometimes works as a massage therapist, was a musician, is into porn, used to be anonymous , hides his pictures, tries to remain off the grid, but has now spilled over into my life as this years nut. ( I get them a few times a year) The important part is to be safe from stalkers like Max Bowman and get them off the street and out of our lives. So as you follow, you’ll see how I do it.

Boulder detectives have an open case on Bowman and as he continues to harass me, we get closer to having him in the system. Bowman keeps asking me to stop him. Daring me.  Some of our staff tracked him down. One of our guys actually tried to help him with some IT stuff, but then he realized that Bowman was a crazed drunk who stalked people…… women on twitter.

Max Bowman goes by dozens of twitter names including @onlyinboulder and @banjannscott. For a list of his alias twitter  accounts they are  all here @net_serious_biz where he monitors Bowmans attacks on people. Between our attorney, the DA and the police we take max Bowman as a real threat to my life and to this community. You should too.

The courts are loaded with people like Max. Every day over ten county judges hear cases where crazy drunk men terrorize people. With Max Bowman, he happened to pick me, he happens to be a cop and he’s dangerous. Not my first dangerous fan, but I will protect myself and I am dealing with him. Most victims remain victims because the system moves slowly. Max Bowman is well aware of that. And he has gotten away with it for years. Not anymore.

Let’s talk about Yelp. OMG Can you believe investors actually bought it.If you one of the lucky few to get in at $15 and sold it on the first day, maybe, but I am not much for trading.  As an investment Yelp has huge problems. It has been around since 2004, yet has never shown a profit. C!N.TV has been around since 2005 and we have shown a profit every year. Yelp has millions of followers and reviewers, yet much of what they say is libelous and that has caused them legal problems. Fight Back at Yelp is a site owned by a Texas businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. He sue the shit out of everybody on Yelp who libels him.

Yelp also, attempts to blackmail restaurants by telling them they will clean up bad reviews if the restaurant advertises.  Yelp also has a bunch of pissed off restaurants out there in the world.  Businesses do not like to advertise with media who bash them. I am telling you. I know. I have been selling advertising to them for years.

so I see Yelp as a loser. and anyone who thinks otherwise  has never been on the street selling to retailers. Most business’s i talk to hate Yelp. They fucking hate yelp.

2012 Boulder Media Academy Awards from Jann Scott (oh shit)

0

Well it’s time for my annual awards of the Best and Worst media in Boulder which no one else has the balls to do, but lets have a look.

Twitter  With this form of social media rising to the surface of the gossip cesspool, we almost have no use for it ( if you want to
call it media.) It is really a bulletin board for media announcements of stories. The problem with twitter are the people who use it. Mostly 24  to 34 year old already short attention spanned office workers.  In terms of mass appeal Twitter still represents about 2% of Boulder so it is virtually off the radar for everyone.

Best Blog in Boulder The only true media blog that we have found in Boulder is Boulder Channel 1. They are web only. Have a news department which posts traditional news daily. They also post TV news videos daily. They have a full on IT and Advertising sales department with a staff of 7. I know there are other blogs in Boulder but none of them have  mass media appeal. They are all amateur individual and special interest pursuits.

Worst News Paper in Boulder has to go to the Colorado Daily. It is the Daily Camera regurgitated with a few CU pics. This is the tragic downfall of a once powerhouse news org that took on the CU establishment and made them change. Not anymore. It is an embarrassment.

Best News Paper in Boulder is the Daily Camera. For all the cut backs, loss of revenue caused by Craigs List , it will be a sad day if we ever lose this daily news paper here in Boulder.  The Camera has a professional reporter staff who go after stories, develop them and write them from the ground up. That is no easy task. Everyone in boulder should be grateful to this news paper. You should subscribe to it ! Absolutely. The Camera reporters are the ones who are on every story 7 days a week. If it is a big story they do it well.  Not Boulder weekly. They are a week late on everything. Boulder Channel 1 has too small of a news staff ( two) to thoroughly cover the city.. So congratulations to the Daily Camera “live long and prosper”

Best Television Channel in Boulder  goes to Channel 22. BV-22 is seen on Comcast all over Boulder County. It is Boulders Educational Access channel and much much more. The channel started 4 years ago as a result of the Boulder city councils attempt to stifle free speech on public access TV. After two horrible management teams which consisted of BIFF, BCM, Boulder tourism board and Louisville public access, the city turned the channel over to Boulder Valley School district which have done a DREAM   JOB. BV22 hosts local video on cable. Much of is is educational, but not in the boring sense. It is a place where Boulder videographers can get get their work shown with out a lot of hassle. BV22 is smoothly run and the staff are responsive and polite which was not the case with past city contractors. Runner up channel 8

Worst TV Channel in Boulder goes to Channel 63 the University of Colorado J-School channel. It is just dreadful. No wonder the CU regents shut down the Journalism School.  Channel 63 has a new 15 million dollar facility which remains empty and unused. They produce a few CU news programs which they never show. The rest of the time they have a terrible signal and play foreign broadcasts which are better seen on the net. The university wastes millions of dollars on staff for this channel. The president of the university should kill himself over this abortion.

Best Morning Network News program goes to CBS morning show with Charlie Rose and Erika Hill. Rose has been with CBS for 100 years. Hill comes from CNN. OMG this a watchable morning show. Not the crap on NBC or ABC whcih I won’t even go into it is so bad.

Best Denver Morning News show goes again to Channel 2. They actually do some watchable segments from Boulder and around the USA.  The other channels : 7, 9, 4, 31 do only weather and traffic which is stupid….. really stupid. They are stupid.  OK local news anchors are all like Ron Burgundy and really stupid , but channel 2 is less stupid.

Best Local Radio  Well there isn’t any. It all sucks. KGNU is old stogey leftist crap for rich liberals. Radio 1190 the CU station would be good if they had a remarkable talent, but they don’t and no one listens. KBCO is no longer a Boulder station and it went down hill along time ago. They moved to SE Denver for C—-s sake. SE Denver?? That is the anti-christ compared to Boulder.

Best Local TV Show is 22Boom Hosted by me this is Boulders only TV magazine show on BV22. There is not much competition except for boring city stuff on channel 8 which is only watched by old people. 22Boom has movie trailers, music videos, local events, food, shopping and everything Boulder.

Jann Scott Live – History of Public Access in BoulderBest talk show host in Boulder also goes to me. Jann Scott Live is a sometimes live call in front page news driven program seen only on the net with segments on cable. This show used to be live weekly on channel 54 until the city shut it down for being a little too noisey. Everything else  is boring boring boring. Alex bugoski boring. KGNU boring, channel 8 boring. walk the talk  boring. But me, I am exciting , fun entertaining and ridiculous.  so there.

Best all around Media in Boulder goes to Boulder Channel 1 which I own. Ha ha ha. No but seriously, really, yes. Boulder Channel 1 has an excellent news department. It has a music section with music news and music  videos. The BC1 movie section has weekly reviews by Dan Culberson who admittedly is a grumpy old guy who is completely out of touch with BC1 target audience, but they love to make fun of him. BC1 also run movie trailers and list movies. The food section is by far the best in Boulder with reviews, video and listings. Just excellent. BC1 retail and shopping section  is also excellent. BC1 showed in the Twitter elite in the top 10 for Boulder this year. It has over 40,000 views a month according to Go-daddy. It’s website is the largest in Boulder with over 200,000 pages and by far is the largest media out let in Boulder

Movie Review

A love story is both a physical and emotional tale, one that can be deeply personal and heartbreaking for an audience to experience. Director Drake Doremus’ film Like Crazy beautifully illustrates how your first real love is as thrilling and blissful as it is devastating. When a British college student (Felicity Jones) falls for her American classmate (Anton Yelchin) they embark on a passionate and life-changing journey only to be separated when she violates the terms of her visa. Like Crazy explores how a couple faces the real challenges of being together and of being apart

Jann takes you on a tour of the worst laid out street in Boulder. Norlin was a traffic mitigation project that turned into a rock strewn, sharp curved dangerous street where people still speed and drive each other off the road daily. It is impassable to fire trucks and is a bleeping mess.

Tim Tebow is the best Christian roll model in American History: Jann Scott’s Journal

0

He talks the talk and walks the walk. Mostly he walks the walk. Oh yea he drops to one knee after big plays and thanks God for his strength and talent.  You can see him doing it  on the field. When he calls plays , he speaks as though he is a man on fire with the love of football with energy streaming into him.

I speak of this with some knowledge for I am a Christian and can relate to Tim Tebows prayer and worship. He has harnessed the power of God who has allowed him to win.  Tebow is a demonstration of Gods power, love and omnipotence. Anyone who knows God can see it.  When I say knows God I am talking about a time in someones life when God makes himself known to you by speaking to you directly, clearly and through prayer.

It becomes a life changing experience.  What Tim Tebow is showing us all right now is how he lives his life. He also show us his conversations with Christ. Yes I am saying Tebo is talking to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and they are blessing him with winning.

Tebow is being blessed with the power of God. He is a vessel to show us all what it is to live a Christian life. He has made it safe for Christians to come out from hiding.  Many horrible Christian preachers on TV and on the right have frightened off most American  Christians from public acknowledgement. Tim Tebow has changed all of that.  While the left, athiests, and anti Chrstians have made a mockery of God and his place in American life, Tim Tebow has changed all of that in an instant. No more hiding. God and Christ are back in the American mainstream. It is cool to be Christain again. It is cool to drop to one knee and say “Thank you Jesus”. Incidentally, Happy Birthday.

#occupyDenver releases plan of action next 60 days

0

24 hours of protest.
First Rally: Noon at Municipal Building @ 201 West Colfax Avenue
Second Rally: 6PM @ The Greek Ampitheatre in Civic Center Park

November 17: 60 Days of Action
We have reached a pivotal moment in history, as we find ourselves on the threshold of a great and lasting change. We at Occupy Denver stand in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street and all occupations across the country and around the world. The accelerated and coordinated efforts to destroy the Occupy movement, evidenced by the forceful actions taken against the occupiers in Zucotti Park and other cities, are confirmation that the Occupy movement is working.
These actions will not stop us; they will only make us stronger. This has brought us to the precipice of tremendous change, a change for the better. We believe and know what is right and good and thus we will take that next step.
The Occupy movement stands in sharp contrast to the forces that are being marshaled against us. When they use force, we use nonviolence. When they try to isolate us, we build community. When they move against us, we call for peace and cooperation.

Together, we are standing up and speaking out for the rights guaranteed by our Constitution: the right of free assembly, the right of free speech, the right of free press. We affirm that all people are created equal and have the right to share in the prosperity of our great nation. Without such rights, then what have we? We are committed to ending the corruption of our government and restoring political power to the people. We believe that our country, and our world, can be a better place and that we must work together to make this happen. To those already standing with us: we ask that you continue to stand strong. You are making the difference. To all the rest: we need for you to join us. We need individuals and organizations from every corner of the country to join the Occupy movement now.

We call upon you who have been silent: Speak and be heard.
We call upon you who have not stood up for what you believe in: Stand and be seen.
We call upon you who have yet to put your needs on paper. Write and be counted.

Make the difference and bring about the change you want to see! Join us at noon tomorrow, November 17, at Civic Center Park as we celebrate the two month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street and the nearly 2,000 Occupy movements that have sprung up around the world. There has been a coordinated effort to silence the voices of the 99%, Mayor Hancock and the Denver Police Department are scared of an awakened populace. We will call attention to the Mayor’s decision to violently crackdown on Occupy Denver. We will present alternatives and show the contrast with other communities around the country and how their local governments have supported the 99% rather than attempt to silence the voice of their constituents. There will then be a 6 p.m. rally at Occupy Denver after which we will conduct a General Assembly where we will discuss the Occupy movement as a whole and how we should progress over the coming months. So come out, have your voices heard and once again stand up for freedom, for justice, and for the future of our world. United we stand!

Lukes a steak Place is“Best Steak in Denver”

4990 Kipling St.
Denver, CO 80033
(303) 422-3300
5 of 5 stars

This is a steak place, casual, friendly and unpretentious. The filet and New York Strip steaks are excellent. You have to try the pan fried potatoes and the sauteed mushrooms are to die for. The beef cows are corn fed and aged. The cheses cake is family recipe.Mike Lucas and family are pioneer Coloradoans. This is good clean food. Excellent all American salad, .
Great wine list.I have been going here for years at least 100 times and have never had a bad experience. In fact we are going to their 20th anniversary on Friday November the 18th.
The Clientele are all regulars (like 5000 of them). You best make a reservation. This is the kind of place sports figures come with their family or come to hide. You do see celebrities here . Great for business dinners.
During Stock show season or Rodeo at Frontier days Lukes a Steak place is packed. All of the cowboys come here. Famous beef ranchers come here. Coaches come here. Famous golfers show up here.

Occupy Denver “Not going anywhere” in spite of arrests

0

It is clear that the occupation movement has the government terrified of  the emerging “people power” in America and is willing to suppress this movement by any means. In the past 24 hours, major Occupies across America were attacked and forcibly evicted.  Word is that the newly emerging class consciousness in America is bad for business and must be stopped.  Last night, once again, public safety and health was evoked by legal officials as a mob of Riot Police marched into Civic Center Park.  In the past weeks Occupy Denver members were legally sleeping on the sidewalk without tents. A warning notice was given to the protesters late Friday night by police officials stating that “encumbrances” must be removed from public sidewalks, though no official notice of enforcement, or a time, was given.  Again the government decided to change the rules and enforce its most belligerent action to date, to remove everyone from the sidewalk that in prior notices from the state were approved. When asked if ample time would be given to remove personal property, the officers responded in the affirmative. Moments later, the police moved in.

Once again, the DPD reaffirms its position as the most violent police force in the United States.  Officers assaulted demonstrators who were just standing on the sidelines.  An officer waited until a protester turned around and hit him in the back three times. They assaulted people verbally, including threats to “break the teeth” of protesters.  One officer told another officer to “SHOOT EM!! SHOOT EM NOW!”  One protester was struck by an officer on a motorcycle and was hospitalized.  Protesters were kettled and shot with pepper-balls, according to Colorado Street Medics, who found pepper-ball shells at the scene of last night’s incident. The shooting took place at 14th and Speer, eventually forcing the group to move to 16th St. Mall, where diners and theater-goers were present. The police action resulted in the closing of the 16th St. Mall bus system for civilian safety. Police actions put the general public in harms way, for no reason. All of this dangerous mayhem, completely instigated by police under the orders of our Mayor, was directed at peaceful protesters.  Protestors were followed, intimidated and hunted by the police for hours after the eviction, proving that this was not about Civic Center park, but an attempt to aggressively confront the Occupy movement.  These are certainly the kind of actions one might expect from the Egyptian Police in the last days of the Arab Spring, but not in Denver….

Our calls for the state to respect our first amendment rights have apparently fallen on deaf ears.  Our attempts to negotiate through the city council, the mayor, and the governor have turned up nothing concrete.  The first amendment states that it is illegal for the state to make any laws “abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” For the Occupy Movement, the ability to assemble in tents is a form of free speech, and our constitutional rights have clearly been violated.  The state and local governments are both in violation of the U.S. Constitution, as they are also in violation of the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.   We call on the Department of Justice and the UN Human Rights Commission to look into these allegations as we assert our right to freely assemble peacefully.

So far almost 4,000 folks have been arrested at Occupy demonstrations around the country, yet not a single one of the Wall Street criminals responsible for the financial ruin we find ourselves in has.  We have mobilized against the greatest concentration of power known to man, and like all empires of the past, we know this one will not go down without a fight.  It’s been little over a month, and we can already see the tremendous positive impact the Occupy movement has had.  For the fourth time in a month, they may have blocked off our park from us,  but we are not going anywhere.
