MEDIA ADVISORY: City to hold two press events on Friday, Oct. 15
2 p.m. energy announcement and regular 10 a.m. briefing
The City of Boulder will hold two press events on Friday, Oct. 15.
At 2 p.m., there is an energy efficiency news conference with Mayor Susan Osborne outside the recently implemented solar photovoltaic panels at the Boulder Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4049 75th St. in northeast Boulder.
This event will include a speech by the mayor, who will celebrate the successful implementation of the solar photovoltaic array and announce some of the other energy efficiency-related initiatives the city is taking to promote environmental and fiscal sustainability. There will be photo opportunities at this event. Key staff members will also be present to answer questions from the media.
The other event is the regularly scheduled press briefing at 10 a.m. in the lobby of the Municipal Building at 1777 Broadway to help reporters prepare for topics that will be discussed at the Oct. 19 City Council meeting. Staff will be available to give a quick overview and answer questions about the following agenda item:
Consideration of four Out-of-City Utility Agreements and Revocable Permits for 997, 1015, 1066 and 1275 Cherryvale Road.
