Before the flood, Jamestown was a favorite stop on the mountain cycling circuits, where riders would stop for refreshments and socializing on the way up the Peak to Peak or down into town. The little town and the roads up to it were devastated by the floods so cyclists have banded together to help the town recover.

This Saturday, the group Cyclists for Jamestown, will hold a benefit in the upper parking lot of the Beech Aircraft complex at 6749 Foothills Highway (U.S. 36) north of Boulder. Featured will be live music, food, and drink from local breweries Boulder Beer and Avery Brewing, auctions, raffles and charity rides up U.S. 36 with local pro racers and just bike fanatics.

 

All activities are free but donations will be accepted. The festivities begin at 7:30 am and last till sunset.
