Boulder marijuana dispensary robbed; victims disabled by bear repellent
0
Boulder police are looking for at least one suspect in a robbery which took place at The Dandelion, a medical marijuana dispensary which is located at 845 Walnut St. The robbery took place at 6:56 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2012.
Employees were inside at the time. They told police that a man wearing dark clothes and a mask, and carrying a FedEx box, knocked at the front door of the business and then forced his way inside when employees opened the door. They say he immediately sprayed a large can of bear repellent directly into some of their faces, disabling them.
The employees ran outside and called police. All of them received medical treatment at the scene, and one was transported to the hospital.
At this time, it appears that the suspect stole marijuana.
Initially police were told there were two suspects. However, only one suspect is seen inside the business on surveillance video and police now believe there is only one person involved. That suspect was loitering outside the business before the robbery and was carrying the FedEx box with him as he checked out the dispensary. Police hope that a member of the public remembers seeing the suspect before the robbery and can assist with a more detailed description or identification.
The suspect description is as follows:
· White male
· 6’0” – 6’2” tall, approximately 200 pounds
· Dark-colored jacket with North Face logo on back shoulder
· Wearing hoodie underneath jacket
· Dark pants, with hiking-type boots
Police are also looking for a black Pontiac, possibly a Grand Prix, with a temporary license tag of 382661H. This vehicle was left unoccupied and running near the robbery. Police are trying to determine if it was used in the crime.
The case number is 13-104.

Evergreen man critically injured after fall from building
0Alcohol and weather are reported factors in accident
A 21-year-old man from Evergreen was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a 13-foot fall at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Ryan Scott Haebe, 21, and several friends were climbing from a third-floor balcony to the building’s rooftop at a building in the 800 block of Walnut St. when Haebe apparently slipped and fell onto a balcony on the second floor below. Haebe’s friends told police he had been intoxicated at the time of the accident. No one saw him fall, and it had been raining.
Two of Haebe’s friends jumped to the lower balcony to help him after they heard him fall. He was unconscious and bleeding, and appeared to have suffered head injuries. Because no one was at home at the lower-floor apartment where the victim had fallen, the Boulder Fire Department forced entry in order to get to him and give medical aid. Haebe was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
According to Haebe’s friends, they decided to go to the rooftop after they arrived home from an evening out. They climbed over their third-floor balcony railing and began to climb to the roof, hanging onto the edge of the roof and stepping on a (approximately) three-inch wide metal ledge that inclined toward the roof. At least one of the friends made it up, and Haebe was following. That’s when they heard the victim fall.
Haebe remains in the hospital in critical condition.
The case number is 12-9004.
