Denver, CO−Curious Theatre Company and the National New Play Network (NNPN) Present Allison Mooreʼs
Rolling World Premiere COLLAPSE. The production runs November 3–December 10, 2011 at 1080 Acoma Street,
Denver. The opening night is November 5, 2011, at 8 p.m.
Inspired by the 2007 Minneapolis bridge collapse, Allison Mooreʼs Rolling World Premiere bares all in a sidesplitting
but, heartfelt story about picking up the pieces and moving on when our lives fall apart. As Hannah tries to hold her
perfect life together amidst being laid off and fearing infertility, her husband David calls in sick to work for days on end
and waters the plants with beer. When Hannahʼs flakey sister blows in from Los Angeles unannounced with all her
worldly possessions and a strange package to be delivered, the family sets off on an odyssey full of hysterical
surprises and moving turns. This production is the second of three productions in a national Rolling World Premiere,
giving the playwright the chance for revision, and the opportunity for the play to have a continued life in theatres
across the country.
National New Playwright Network created the Continued Life of New Plays Fund (CLNPF), to develop an
alternative-producing model, and change the way theaters and audiences understand the term “world premiere.” A
flagship program, CLNPF supports three or more theaters that choose to mount the same new play within a twelvemonth period. The result is a “Rolling World Premiere” through which the playwright develops a new work with at least
three different creative teams, for three different communities of patrons, ensuring the resulting play is of the highest
possible quality. And, with a minimum of three productions in a single year, the play attains the momentum it needs to
join the repertoire of frequently-produced new American works.
“We are excited to continue our collaborative relationship with Allison Moore with this project, and are also honored to
be participating in another Continued Life project with the NNPN,” states Producing Artistic Director, Chip Walton.
“Our continued commitment to this program allows us to bring the best new plays in American theatre directly to
Denver audiences, who will be among the first audiences anywhere to experience wonderful plays like COLLAPSE
and to participate in and benefit from the continued development through production of these new theatrical works.”

Jada S. Roberts (Hannah).

developed a full-length play, END TIMES, with Kitchen Dog Theater, where she is an Associate Company Member.
The play premiered in June 2007 and received a record-setting seven Dallas Critics Forum Awards and five Leon
Rabin Awards, including Best New Play. Allisonʼs play, HAZARD COUNTY, was produced at the 2005 Humana
