Broncos- The big news coming out of Denver this week was about Defensive End, Derek Wolfe. The Broncos will lose defensive end Derek Wolfe to a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, The League announced Friday. In a statement, Wolfe offered an apology to the Broncos organization, teammates and fans. He noted that the suspension was caused by medication that he took.Wolfe said “I will certainly exercise far greater caution in the future and will seek advice relating to the permissibility of any and all medications.” Wolfe will be replaced by Malik Jackson, who had a very productive last season with the Broncos, having 13 Quarterback hits and 29 hurries.

Rockies- After a very exciting game Friday, including two HR’s by Carlos Gonzalez, and a game winning dive into home plate by Charlie Blackmon, The Rockies looked more liked themselves last night, losing 5-2 after allowing 5 runs in the 3rd inning. The Rockies, are sitting in last place in the NL West after falling to 41-54. The team is headed to Chicago on a 7 game road trip where they will play the Cubs and then they’ll fly to St.Louis to take on the National League leading Cardinals. The offense looks promising having both Nolan Arenado and DJ Lemahieu play in the All Star game. The bottom line for the struggling Rockies is that they need pitchers and they needed them yesterday.
