Obama wins landslide vote re election 2012 Presidential Election
Yes He did !!!!!!!
At 8:03 Mountain time. It sure looks that way. President Obama is winning all of the battleground states right now. He is winning in Nevada. Winning in Wisconsin winning in Ohio and winning in Florida He has won New Hampshire.
Right now it looks like he won’t win Virginia, but he could. Obama is winning in Colorado. And he is winning Iowa. Game over.
There are no two ways about it. This is a landslide victory for the the democrats and Barack Obama. So much for all of the noise by the Republicans over this past year. Barrack Obama will beat Romney by more than 100 points.
The popular vote is perplexing. Mitt Romney is slightly ahead of Obama. But this one is over.

(1) On this date, 95 years ago, V. I. Lenin took over the Russian Government from Vladamir Kerensky, initiating a 70+ year reign of misery and oppression that echoes to this day. Also 68 years ago today F.D.R. was elected to a fourth term as president of the USA. His death ended his reign less than a year later.
(2) The US economy will remain in the doldrums for the foreseeable future as private enterprise remains risk averse fearing more government intervention and regulation. Only government and government assisted employment will continue to rise. It will resemble modern Greece where they had only 17.5% of the populace paying taxes and not working for the government! Rather like standing a pyramid on the point!
(3) The national debt will rise from the current $16 trillion to about $20 trillion by 2016. Taxes will rise slightly with emphasis on the upper brackets but capitol and earnings at that level will quietly move offshore out of reach! Inflation will increase sharply providing an effective tax increase on money held as cash savings or other things that have value that references to cash. Real estate, precious metals, and the like will continue to appreciate more or less independently of the value of the dollar. Buy a house you can afford, live in it, and pay for it in depreciating dollars!
(4) US prestige abroad will continue to decline as we bail out of Afghanistan leaving the Taliban in control. Pakistan will probably fall into Taliban hands as well leaving it’s nuclear arsenal in their hands. This will pose a serious problem to the administration that will be approached with a policy of appeasement that will work about as well as it did in 1938.
(5) California and several other states will go bankrupt in the next few years and their State Governments will be taken over by the Federal Government under the “Too big to fail!” rule. A status quo will prevail with the more prosperous stated subsidising them through their taxes and grants to the failed governments. Texas and other states may threaten secession!
(6) While there is strong evidence of enormous oil reserves in the Continental US the legal barriers imposed on drilling on government lands, slant hole drilling, and hydraulic fracturing will keep the US economy dependent on imported oil for at least another decade. This will severely impact the economy, limiting any recovery or return to world class competitiveness.
You may think this to be excessively pessimistic but I would bet you that a majority of these predictions will come true in the next four years. Want to give it a go? Bill in Boulder
