Active Meth Lab Located

Once law enforcement entered the residence, they discovered an active meth lab. St. Johns County Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene to assist with the hazards associated with the lab.
Two occupants in the residence were taken into custody and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug dwelling. The residents Alison Lenore Walsh, 60, St. Augustine, and Robert Dean Horsley, Sr. 55, St. Augustine were arrested and transported to the St. Johns County Jail without incident.
St. Johns County Animal Control also responded to the home to assist with several animals that were located in the home.

St. Johns County Fire-Rescue and Firefighters for Families to Host Community Day on October 13th, 2012

“Home Fires claim thousands of lives every year. By using a little extra caution, you can help to safeguard your family,” said Nyani Mattison, Public Education Officer for St. Johns County Fire-Rescue. “We hope that you will come out and enjoy our Community Day and also learn tips to keep your family safe.”
The Community Day will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 11am-2pm at Station 10 which is located at 155 Library Blvd, next to the Ponte Vedra library.
During the event, Firefighters for Families will be conducting a food drive to assist us with our annual Holiday toy and food drive.

SJSO Gunshot Victim
Sep 28th
When deputies arrived they found a male subject with an apparent gun shot wound. St. Johns County Fire Rescue treated the subject at the scene and the victim was flown by air ambulance to an area hospital. The initial information garnered by investigators was the wounds were self inflicted, however, the incident is actively being investigated and a ruling has not been made at this time.
