Sea Your History Weekend: Tap Into Your Past – Friday from 3-6 p.m., St. Augustine Lighthouse archaeologists unlock the secrets of long-lost shipwrecks and take visitors behind the scenes on the Lost Ships Tour. Beginning Saturday at 9 a.m., work with traditional wooden boatbuilders to build a boat from centuries gone by. From 2- 4 p.m., there’s a book signing with Dr. Patrick McGovern from the University of Pennsylvania. Then beginning at 5, Dr. McGovern will present his story “Uncorking the Past.” He will explain how he used molecular biology to re-construct King Midas’ funerary feast.
