Boulder Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

sexual assault 122-year-old Brandon Lee Heginger (DOB 9/12/1991) was arrested in connection with a sexual assault and burglary which occurred in the 1000 block of Grandview Ave. on April 13, 2014.

Heginger faces charges of Sexual Assault, First Degree Burglary and Theft.

The female victim told police that she was home asleep in her bed when she awoke to an unknown male touching her inappropriately. She confronted the male, and the male left the residence.

The incident occurred sometime between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Several items were missing from the victim’s apartment, including a roommate’s laptop and cash. Police were able to locate the laptop in Lakewood, CO and on Friday, April 25, 2014 they executed a search warrant in the 12100 block of W. Nevada Dr. in Lakewood, CO, the residence of Brandon Heginger.

Detectives interviewed Heginger, who admitted that after a night of partying with friends, he randomly chose the victim’s home, broke into it and sexually assaulted her.

The case number is 14-4528.

Reported rape prompts Boulder police cautionary warning

Boulder police were called to the 900 block of University Avenue just after 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 2013, after a female resident reported that she had been sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

 

The victim is a 22-year-old female. The assault took place inside her residence. The victim confronted the male, who ran from the residence in an unknown direction.

 

The victim wasn’t able to provide a detailed description of the suspect. She described him as 5’6” to 5’8” tall, with a “smaller” build and a “narrow” face. He was wearing dark-colored clothing that included some type of workout jacket, sweatshirt or rain jacket.

 

There were no signs of forced entry into the home, and the roommates say the residence may have been left unlocked.

 

Police remind everyone to lock their doors and windows. If you see anything that you consider suspicious, please call police right away by dialing 9-1-1. If you do see someone who seems questionable, try to get a good look at them if you can remain safe in doing so; police will ask you for a description:

 

·         What are they wearing?

·         What is their race?

·         What is their eye color, hair color?

·         About how old do they look?

·         Do they have tattoos or other unusual identifying marks?

·         Is there anything else that’s unique or distinguishable about the suspect?

Boulder Police searching for missing 39-year-old man

Boulder police are searching for 39-year-old Daniel Robert Holloway, a white male who was last by family members on June 7, 2013 around 3:30 p.m.

Holloway left his home in the 3500 block of 28th St. and did not tell anyone where he was going.  He hasn’t been seen or heard from since June 7.

Holloway is about 6’1” tall, weighs 195 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. His family is concerned about his welfare.

A passerby found some of Holloway’s belongings, which included a messenger bag and cell phone, near the Boulder Creek Path in the vicinity of Arapahoe and Foothills.

Boulder police looking for assault suspect which took place around 4 p.m. on Colorado Ave near 28th

Boulder police are investigating an assault which took place between 4:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 in the area of 28th and Colorado.

 

The female victim told police she was walking alone on eastbound Colorado toward 28th St. when she says she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male. The male grabbed her with his arm across her neck.

 

The victim was carrying a pepper spray-type canister in her hand at the time of the assault, and she was able to spray her attacker in his face. The suspect then hit the victim and yelled as the victim struggled to get away. The suspect fled the area. The victim called police and received medical treatment at the scene for injuries sustained during the attack.

 

The victim believes the suspect is a white male who was wearing a gray-colored, baggy sweatshirt with a dark blue or black knit stocking cap.

 

There were three bicyclists crossing the street in the area at the time of the attack who may have witnessed the incident. Police would like to speak to them to see if they can provide details about the suspect and the assault. Police would also like to talk with any motorists or pedestrians who may have seen the incident.

 

Police are working to identify the suspect. He may have red or watery eyes, and he may have had a distinct odor of pepper spray on his person or clothes last night.

Boulder police seeking suspects in robbery spree

Police seek suspects in two robberies, one theft

 

Police in Boulder are investigating two robberies and a theft that occurred recently and are attempting to locate the suspects who are involved.  Police do not believe the cases are related.

 

Case # 12-2371

A theft took place on Feb. 19 at approximately 12:30 a.m. The male victim was with friends at a restaurant in the 1300 block of Broadway and had gone outside for a few minutes. The victim told police that two men approached him and demanded his wallet. The victim complied.

 

One suspect is described as being 6’1” to 6’2” tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and an earring in one ear. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a dark shirt and jeans. The other male suspect had brown hair and was of average build. There is no clothing description for the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tom Dowd at 303-441-3385. No one was injured in this incident.

 

Case # 12-2345

Also on Feb. 19, a male victim was robbed in the north alley of the 2100 block of Goss Circle at 10:01 a.m. The victim told investigators that he was heading to his parked car when a male suspect approached him and demanded his cell phone. The victim laughed at the suspect, and the suspect cut the victim’s face with a knife. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injury.

 

The suspect in this theft is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, about 5’8” tall and “skinny,” probably weighing less than 125 pounds. He had short, curly hair and light brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes. A black and white bandana covered most of his face. Detective Jeremy Frenzen is the lead investigator. Case # 12-2437

Another robbery took place at Pleasures, located at 2801 Iris, on Feb. 21. A clerk at the store says a male suspect approached him at about 8:10 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect cash and the suspect fled on foot. This suspect is described as a possibly Hispanic male in his mid-20s, about 5’9” – 5’10”, with an “average” build. He was wearing a light gray hoodie, dark gray sweatpants and black tennis shoes, with a black beanie-type cap, and a blue and white bandana covering most of his face. He was also wearing dark gloves. Boulder police investigate attempted sexual assault

On Tuesday, May 24, at 12:30 a.m., police responded to the area of 20th Street and Canyon Boulevard on a report of an attempted sexual assault. A male suspect followed a lone female to this area before he pulled her to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her. The female screamed and the male fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet to 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and about 180 pounds with a heavy build. He was described as having short dark hair and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He spoke both English and Spanish with a noticeable accent.

The suspect may have an injury to the right side of his face due to being struck by the victim.

The case number for this incident is 11-6379.
