Boulder PDQ suffers a real armed robbery

Police in Boulder are investigating an Aggravated Robbery and Felony Menacing that occurred at the PDQ convenience store, located at 5200 Manhattan Circle, on Saturday, Feb. 4, around 12:36 a.m.
The clerk told police that the suspect entered the store wearing a jacket and a ski mask. He displayed a handgun and ordered two male customers who were in the store at the time to lie down on the floor. They complied. The suspect then demanded cash from the clerk. He cooperated and gave the suspect cash and cigarettes. The suspect left the store on foot, and police believe he left the area in a vehicle.
The suspect is described as follows:
- White male
- 5’8“ to 6’0” tall
- About 200 pounds
- Wearing a black ski mask
- Wearing a gray hoodie with the hood pulled up, blue jeans and gloves

The case number is 12-1602.

Person of interest in Circle K robbery contacts police; is not a suspect

The woman Boulder police wanted to speak with regarding the Circle K robbery on Jan. 8 contacted police after her photo was released to the media yesterday.
She has cooperated with investigators and after talking with her, it has been determined that she is not a suspect in the robbery. Police appreciate her willingness to come forward, and thank the public and media for their help in reaching out in our attempt to contact her.
Police are still looking for anyone who has information about the robbery, which took place at the Circle K franchise located at 3185 28th St.
No one can say whether the suspect is male or female; he or she was wearing a hoodie that covered his/her face. The suspect is described as:
- Varying heights have been reported; broad shoulders
- Dark eyes, wearing eyeshadow
- Wearing boot-cut jeans with a hole or tear in the left knee
- Long black gloves
- Black fabric shoes
- High-pitched voice
The case number is P12-347.

FirstBank branch robbed; police release suspect photos
Boulder police are looking for a male suspect who robbed a branch of FirstBank, located at 4770 Baseline Road. The robbery occurred at 11:42 this morning and was called in as a teller alarm. Police are working with the FBI and the Safe Streets Task Force on this case. (Case # P12-858).
Witnesses told investigators that the suspect walked into the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. No weapon was seen. The teller cooperated, and no one was injured. The suspect escaped on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- 5 feet, 10 inches
- 180 to 200 lbs.
- Muscular build
- Long, thick goatee and mustache
- Wearing a green hoodie with a white shirt underneath, and jeans
- 30 to 40 years old
- White beanie-type hat
Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached.
