Police seek public’s help in fatal hit-and-run accident

Boulder police are looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle that hit and killed a pedestrian and fled the scene of the accident.
It happened this evening, March 5, 2011, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Broadway, just north of Baseline Road.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored Rav 4 or Nissan Xterra-type vehicle. No other information is available.
Police and the coroner’s office are continuing to investigate; the victim’s identity will not be released until next-of-kin are notified.

Suspect arrested in Wells Fargo bank robbery

Police in Denver arrested 23-year old William Anthony Chren III (08/26/87) yesterday for an incident unrelated to Monday’s Wells Fargo robbery at 1690 Canyon Boulevard in Boulder. Believing there may be a connection to the Denver suspect, investigators from Boulder and Denver worked together.
After witnesses identified Chren as the Wells Fargo suspect, Boulder police obtained a warrant for Chren’s arrest this morning.
Chren is currently being held at the Denver County Jail. His bail is set at $25,000.

Boulder cops seek ID of "identity theft" crook…photos and story:

Boulder police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in an identity theft case. On Jan. 6, a suspect entered a parked car and stole the victim’s wallet and ID. The suspect then used the victim’s stolen credit cards and made over $2,000 in purchases at the Best Buy in Boulder.
The suspect who used the credit cards is described as a white male with reddish brown hair and a light complexion. He appeared to be in his 20’s. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached.
The case number for this incident is 11-226.
