A Magical evening of everything local!
MMMMMBoulder-MOVIES, MUSIC, MOVEMENT, MONOLOGUE, MODERN ART and… MAGIC!
This is an evening featuring short MOVIES by Boulder County filmmakers including Spotlight by Larissa Rhodes, One Call Delivery by Don Sniffin, The Trenchcoat by David Bashford, Let’s Art by William Garrison, and the final film presentation for the Boulder Tattoo Project; alternating with live MUSIC from Martian Acres (Americana), Covex (electronic music), Purple Squirrel (modern jazz/funk rock) & singer-songwriter Lisa Bell; and MOVEMENT by 3rd Law Dance/Theater. MONOLOGUE will be provided by local story tellers and poets Johanna Walker & Valerie Szarek.
Delightful MAGIC from Gregg Tobo of Astonishing Productions will be presented in the lobby, along with MODERN ART by some of Boulder’s finest visual artists including Annette Coleman, Linda Parks, Catherine Pistone, Sydney LaSasso and Heather Taylor. Culinary artists Bon Appétit Mobile Bistro and Boulder Bowls food trucks and Shamane’s Bake Shoppe will sell delicious food items, and wine & beer will also be for sale. The best of Boulder’s Natural Products companies will also be on display in the lobby.

FirstBank hit by a robber

Boulder police are looking for a bank robbery suspect and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the robber, who was wearing a distinctive bright yellow and black knit cap, which may possibly be an Iowa Hawkeyes logo hat.
At approximately 9:40 this morning, Feb. 4, 2014, the male suspect entered FirstBank, located at 4520 Broadway, and demanded money from the tellers. The tellers complied and the suspect fled using the northeast doors of the bank. No one was injured and the suspect did not display or threaten to use a weapon.
Photos taken from FirstBank’s surveillance video are attached. The suspect is described as:
· White male
· In his forties
· 5’8” – 6’0” tall
· Heavy build
· No facial hair
· No accent
· Wearing a light-colored Columbia-brand nylon shell jacket, which had dark blue stripes on the arms
· Also wearing a black and gold knit cap, possibly a logo cap from the Iowa Hawkeyes
· Wearing blue pants (possibly jeans) and dark-colored shoes
The case number is 14-1485.

Boulder police: Arson suspect sought

Fire was at Ideal Market
Boulder police are looking for a male suspected of starting a fire at Ideal Market, 1275 Alpine Avenue on the evening of Saturday, August 31, 2013. The incident occurred at 10:42 p.m.
The fire started when a display of charcoal was ignited in front of the store. When police arrived, store employees had extinguished the fire with a garden hose. Boulder Fire Rescue also responded and watered down the remaining debris to make sure the fire was completely out. No one was injured.
Security footage from the scene revealed a white male with a scruffy beard, brown hair, between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a red T-shirt with white lettering on the front and back, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Photos are attached. The case number is 13-11707.
