Nasty critters close Boulder rez swim beach–again
Jul 26th
Water at the swim area was then re-sampled and test results are expected by Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. The reservoir swim beach will re-open once bacteria levels are reduced.
YESS!, the “Res” is open to swimming again
Jul 17th
The Boulder Reservoir swim beach, 5565 N. 51st St., is open again, as of this morning, following clean test results.
The swim beach had been closed as of late afternoon on Thursday, July 12, due to elevated levels of bacteria believed to be the result of significant rain runoff last week. The water near the swim beach is tested for bacteria levels five times per month. A spike in bacterial levels is not uncommon in natural bodies of water after significant rain runoff.
