Blotter – February 24, 2011

A woman driving a gray Saab struck a bicyclist at the intersection of  Pine Street and Broadway around 3:15. The bicyclist was thrown from her bike and transported to the hospital for treatment. She suffered from abrasions to her right hip and right elbow. The driver admitted fault and said she had trouble seeing because of the western sun. The driver was issued a summons.

Police responded to the Bright Now dental practice at 1840 Folsom after used x-ray development solution was reported spilled. The office building was evacuated (about 35 people) as a precaution, and no one was injured. There was a sewage back-up in the building at the same time, unrelated to the x-ray solution spill.

A 22-year-old male was arrested in the 700 block of  Arapahoe after his girlfriend alleged that he grabbed her by the throat after an argument. The victim reported to police that the suspect also locked  her out of the residence when she tried to gather her belongings. The case is closed. 11-2474.
