The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is seeking at least one suspect in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred on July 12 in the late afternoon. Deputies responded to Hampton Inn (2525 County Road 208) at 5:00 p.m. following a report of the robbery. The male clerk stated that a male subject came into the hotel lobby, approached him, and struck him in the head with a gun.

The suspect fled the area in a light or crème colored, 4-door passenger vehicle with dark tinted windows. The suspect is described as a black male, from mid-20’s to mid-30’s, approximately 5’8”, wearing black pants and a white shirt. The suspect appeared to be accompanied by a white female, with blonde hair, wearing jeans and a turquoise colored top.

Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and the male victim has been transported to Flagler Hospital. More details will be released as they become available. Deputies and Detectives are continuing to investigate.
