Jul 22nd
Congressman Joe Neguse It was another chaotic few days in Washington last week as House Republicans pushed for a vote to cut funding — already approved by Congress — for public radio stations in rural America, critical national security programs, and more. These rescissions are reckless and will have a devastating impact for the country, and I was proud to work late into the night on Thursday to push back against this effort.
Banning Stock Trading
As part of a larger effort I’ve been leading to end corruption in Washington D.C., including banning Members of Congress from trading stocks and strengthening anti-corruption laws, last week I introduced a bill with my colleague Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to impose a lifetime ban on former Members of Congress from becoming lobbyists and strengthening lobbying transparency law.

Weekdays? Also extremely reasonable. It’s a flat $3 to park between 3 pm – 3 am in City of Boulder Parking Garages, which is cheaper than the cost of an iced coffee (and arguably a better investment if you’re running late). City of Boulder Parking Garages parking is FREE on Saturdays AND Sundays! Save time by registering your car through Metropolis once you do this, travel in and out of the City Parking Garages with ease!
Pro tip: garages give you shade, keep your car cool, and put you steps away from wherever you’re headed. I call that a win-win-win.
Metered street parking is enforced Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rates range from $1.50 to $3/hour (based on demand), with a 3-hour limit- except Saturdays, when you can stay as long as you want! Pay at the kiosk (you’ll need your license plate number) or through the ParkMobile app. And yes, there’s a 15-minute free option once per day if you’re just running in somewhere fast.
And remember: downtown is best enjoyed un-rushed, especially when you didn’t spend 20 minutes circling the block. More details at BoulderParking.com!
