About the Events:
A forum on international affairs since 1948, the Conference on World Affairs is hosted annually at the University of C.U. campus and encompasses the arts, media, science, diplomacy, technology, environment, spirituality, politics, business, medicine, human rights, and more.
All events are free and open to the public-and attended by students, faculty, staff, alumni, townsfolk, journalists and visitors from around the nation. Audiences range in size from an intimate 100 to over 2,000 at individual sessions, with a combined total of about 92,000 over the course of five days.

Joanne Huskey talked about being in the EMBASSY bombing, she and her kids were in the basement and her husband was on the 4th floor. Everyone on the middle floors was killed. She strongly suggested using globalization against terrorism building understanding and connections with people of other cultures.[READ|SHARE]

As I stood in line to thank Joanne Huskey, I had the opportunity to visit with someone in line (since I didn't ask his permission, not saying his name or position). He, too, had survived in the '98 US Embassy bombing. I am humbled and praying for the safety of a child who is now working in Kenya...how do we create respect and trust? Conference on World Affairs online problems : Twitter let down Grays attend

The one saving grace of this panel was to point out just what a waste of a persons life it can be. they couldn't stress how addictive Twitter and Facebook could be. The tone of this session was politically leftist with continuous barbs thrown at conservatives who use twitter. So much for CU chancellors new policy of fair and balanced. All of the panelists criticized main stream media for not covering the news. None of them could explain the business side of Twitter. They also seemed oblivious to the fact that Television and News papers lost their foothold[READ|SHARE]

Show up early for CU graduation here in Boulder this morning.The University of Colorado Boulder will hold its spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 9, at 8:30 a.m. at Folsom Field and people planning to drive to campus should arrive early. Jann Scott returns to Fisher Honda and Kia for a very special interview with Owner, Craig Fisher. We learn about the history of Fisher Auto dealership, the service shop, and some of the new and exciting cars from each manufacturer to look for at the shop soon. We also get a full tour of the facility which includes a peek at all 3 service bays, the paint and body shop, the 2 dealerships, the new Allstate boulder family insurance, the parts department, tires, the conference rooms, the service waiting room and the place to grab a loaner bike if you would rather go on a ride while you wait for your car. On top of all that Craig Fisher introduces us to some of his dedicated and long term employees in the shop and some of the great services they offer to customers that make them so popular in the Boulder community.
