Boulder Climate Change is Real by Jann Scott
Jul 10th

NOAA Layoffs: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has been a focal point of these layoffs, with numerous employees, including those in probationary status, being terminated. Some reports indicate that these terminations were abrupt, with little to no warning or severance. Other Federal Agencies: Layoffs aren’t limited to NOAA. The U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and other agencies with a presence in Boulder have also been impacted. Federally-Funded Labs: Boulder County has numerous federally funded research labs, and these institutions have also seen job losses. Impact on Boulder: The layoffs have had a significant impact on Boulder’s economy and the lives of those affected. Many workers have expressed concerns about job security and the future of their careers. Protests: The layoffs have sparked protests in Boulder, with hundreds of people demonstrating against the cuts to the federal workforce. https://youtu.be/TBu9QPEK0-4

Welcome to Jann Scott Live the video blog news of the future. In Boulder on the C.U, campus the World Affairs Conference took place and to surprise all the subject matter was aimed at aging boomer leftists. What about the Kids?? WHY? Loyd Benson… Governor Ritter is signing at bill to legalize the sale of liquor on Sundays in Colorado and at the same time the Boulder Police Chief appears on 60 Minutes to promote the lowering of liquor sales to the age of 18 and MADD is seriously pissed off. What else, the economy is in the tank, the ice caps are melting faster than ever and killer bees finally made it to Colorado.
We had a sit-down. I Owned the Boulder Times which had just closed and I was doing local radio and TV though my own production company. So I know the deal from both sides.
You were not going to win a war with Stuart.. He’s the boss. When he asked you to run some stories on some advertisers , you should have put a reporter on it …. instead you got yourself fired.. Now you are out… Financially, Stuart has to thread a very fine needle every day… just to stay alive… and to get the story out.
I predict Stuart and Boulder Weekly will survive this wee setback… but will you? A lot of news orgs won’t hire you.. This why you were out at the Daily Camera Too.
But don’t mind me I’ve been fired so many times ( including the city channel 54) I could have retired on unemployment… Which is why I ran my own show for years… they couldn’t fire me and couldn’t eat me either..
